“Communication Matters has always been a virtual company, but I wanted to do a better job marketing the value of that model to current and potential clients,” says Libbie Hough, owner of the company. Hough credits a meeting with Laura Schoppe, CEO of Fuentek, based in Apex, North Carolina, with inspiring her to make the most of her company’s structure. “Laura runs an incredibly successful business using a virtual business model and is living proof that both process and product for clients and team members can be exceptional,” she explains.
Explaining the company’s structure on the website and in all her business dealings gives her clients and team members what they want: an authentic business experience and a high-quality product at a great value. “Clients know they are paying only for the services they need rather than the upkeep of an entire agency,” explains Hough. “It’s also great for my colleagues,” she says “They are free to pick and choose the projects they want to work on and to maintain their own client base too.”
